Vaccination Registry

The Voluntary Vaccination Registry is now accepting and encouraging submissions of COVID-19 booster shot information, in addition to vaccination information.

If you previously submitted your COVID-19 vaccination information, and have since received a booster shot, please add your booster shot information to your record. This information is important to give UNL the most accurate picture of the vaccination and booster shot status of the University community, so that campus safety practices can be well-informed.

Individuals who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 inside or outside the United States with a vaccine authorized by the FDA, may choose to submit their vaccination information. Individuals fully vaccinated outside the United States with a vaccine not approved by the FDA but listed for emergency use by the World Health Organization (WHO) may also submit their vaccination information. Currently approved vaccines in the United States include Johnson & Johnson/Janssen, Moderna, and Pfizer-BioNTech. For international students, vaccinations approved by the World Health Organization (WHO) are accepted; these currently include AstraZeneca, Bharat Biotech – Covaxin, Novavax, Serum Institute of India – Covishield, Serum Institute of India - Covovax, Sinopharm and Sinovac. The listing of acceptable vaccines will be updated as granted approval by the CDC or the WHO. If you have received any other brand of vaccine, you may wish to consult with the Lincoln Lancaster County Health Department or the University Health Center to determine what options you may have in obtaining one of the approved vaccines. In the registry, you will need to select the type of vaccine you received, enter the date(s) you received the vaccine and upload documentation to substantiate your vaccination. If you have not received both doses of either the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine, you are not fully vaccinated and should not submit information to the registry until the second dose has been received.

If you have received only one of the 2 doses required for any multiple dose series WHO approved vaccine, you may wish to consult with the Lincoln Lancaster County Health Department or the University Health Center to determine what options you may have in completing your vaccination.

Please see information posted by the CDC for up to date guidance regarding the brand of booster shot recommended and accepted following various brands of initial full vaccination series. Currently, for those who are fully vaccinated using Johnson & Johnson/Janssen, Moderna, or Pfizer-BioNTech, a Moderna or Pfizer-BioNTech booster shot is preferred. For those fully vaccinated internationally using one of the other WHO accepted vaccines, a Pfizer-BioNTech booster shot is the only brand of booster shot currently mentioned as an option, per the CDC.
